Of all my services, I’m most passionate about using Micropigmentation to create areolas (and nipples when necessary) for men and women who have lost a breast(s) due to mastectomy while battling cancer.
This very special procedure marks the end of a long and traumatic journey for clients.
While many Plastic Surgeons offer this as an add-on service to breast reconstruction, I’ve found that very few have invested in the multitude of ink colors and needle configurations required to expertly and artistically craft a multi-dimensional areola. And sadly, it shows: their work is easily spotted by the one-color, flat, pepperoni-looking circles that they tattoo.
You deserve to feel complete & confident!
Here's a sample of the corrections & customized restorative procedures I offer.
Many technicians who attempt Areola Repigmentation are unequipped with the intricate knowledge of this procedure. In this case, I am able to soften and color-correct their work to create a realistic outcome.
After going through chemo, radiation, mastectomy, expanders, implants and fat grafting, many of my precious breast cancer survivors cannot fathom one more surgery, so they rely on me to simulate an areola and a nipple.
For those who undergo the final nipple creation surgery, I am able to restore the coloration in the nipple and areola. You can even bring a photo of your original areolas and I can match the color!
Just as the color in our lips fades as we age, so does the pigmentation in our areolas. This procedure is perfect for anyone wanting to put that touch of color back in their areolas or for those wishing to change the coloration of their natural areolas.
Nearly everyone heals with a little white scar around the areola campus after augmentation surgery. With this procedure, I’m able to eliminate the scar by color-blending the areola into the scar.
In rare instances during surgery, oxygen is depleted from areas of the skin resulting in a condition known as “necrosis.” The death of the skin results in unsightly and modeled dark areas. Using my micro-needling techniques, along with repigmentation, I am able to reverse this condition and very much to the delight of my clients who have been inflicted with this.

• Loved ones are welcome to join you.
• You will be sent home with ointment on the breast(s) and pads to protect chaffing from clothing.
• You’ll need to keep the ointment provided to you on the areas for seven days during the healing process, while keeping it clean and dry.
•You can resume all of your regular activities right away, but you’ll want to avoid any vigorous movements and sweating.
• Can I see what they will look like before you start tattooing?
Yes! We’ll look over colors together and before we begin the procedure, I will mark the position of the areolas and nipples so that you can get an idea of the placement, shape and width.
• Will my insurance cover the procedure?
Each insurance carrier is different. We have heard of some carriers covering this procedure 100%, others nothing at all and everything in between. Once you’ve gone through the procedure, my assistant will prepare the forms needed for you to file a claim with your provider.
• Does it hurt?
Most of my clients who have undergone mastectomies have little to no sensitivity in the breast area. To ensure that the procedure is comfortable, I apply a high-grade, topical anesthetic 30 minutes before beginning this procedure - nearly every single client tells me afterwards that it was not as bad as they had imagined. To make it as comfortable as possible: don’t have coffee or alcohol for two days prior to your appointment and don’t schedule the procedure while you’re super stressed or menstruating.
"Seeing Kim was the last step in my journey back to normal after battling breast cancer and going through a double mastectomy. I can’t begin to explain to you the surge of relief and delight that I felt after seeing my new beautiful areolas, making me feel whole again."
